Acadian Monitoring Services Partners with Secure-i to Provide IP-Based Hosted Video Surveillance, Storage Solutions

Des Plaines, Il, February 10, 2010 -Acadian Monitoring Services has partnered with Secure-i to provide IP-based hosted video surveillance and storage solutions for security integrators, alarm dealers and their customers. 

As the security industry continues to evolve through its convergence with the IT world, the complexities of networks, bandwidth and compression issues have slowed mainstream implementation, creating a need for new solutions for video surveillance.  The Secure-i solution meets that need.

The Secure-i Hosted Video Recorder™ (HVR™) eliminates both the expensive recording devices and the need to go through firewalls to access the video feed.  It is a subscription-based service that provides a robust suite of tools for remote video surveillance, recording, and off-site storage.  Live and recorded video footage can be viewed through any web-based interface, including web-enabled cell phones and PDAs. Secure-i’s HVR™ service is built upon the AVHS platform from the world’s leading expert in network video, Axis Communications.  The Axis “one-click” network video cameras provide simple installation, configuration and use. (When an HVR-enabled camera is connected to power and a broadband internet router, it auto-negotiates a connection to the HVR servers).

Acadian, already an industry leader in IP-based remote video monitoring, is the latest company to partner with Secure-i in offering the Secure-i HVR™ to its dealer base, providing them with yet another source of recurring monthly revenue.  Because the Secure-i HVR™ is a hosted solution not requiring costly DVR equipment, the service can be setup in hours with easy installation and minimal support.  When an Acadian dealer’s customer logs in, their HVR experience can be branded with the dealer’s logo, which  links back to the Acadian-dealer’s website.

Because Secure-i is a hosted service, Acadian has access to all of their client information, billing records, and a support ticketing system online where it is simple to manage.
Secure-i HVR™ services were developed to target the SMB marketplace with a low-cost “plug-and-play” solution for the 1 to 6 camera market using a typical internet connection.  Other applications include critical backup to existing security solutions, GPRS mobile solutions, and large geographic dispersion such as franchise or chain retail operations.
